Crayon Carnival and Stroll of Nations is March 26
PTO Seeking Sponsors and Raffle Donations

The Crayon Carnival and Stroll of Nations will bring bouncy rides, carnival games,
delicious food and fun to the Cooperstown Middle/High School on March 26, from 11
am to 3 pm. The carnival will again feature the Stroll of Nations, where kids can “visit”
different countries through music, games, displays, dance and other activities.

This family event, sponsored by the Cooperstown Parent Teacher Organization, has been
part of the community for decades. All proceeds from this event benefit the students of
Cooperstown Central School, K-12. With community and business support, the PTO is
able to fund field trips, reading programs, cultural performances, summer music lessons,
academic awards, and enrichment programs. The PTO also purchases new books and
resources for the school libraries, and supports Mr. Science, KidGarden, TREP$, Red Hot
Ropers, Parents as Reading Partners, and book fairs.

The Cooperstown PTO is currently seeking underwriters and sponsors for the Crayon
Carnival & Stroll of Nations, as well as donations for the basket raffle and silent auction.
Lead Underwriters (those giving $1000 or more), Underwriters (those giving $500–999)
and Sponsors (who give $250-499) receive special recognition. Gifts of any amount
are most appreciated to meet our fundraising goal of $7,500. Other giving levels
are: Supporters (gifts of $100-249) and Friends (gifts up to $99). For information on
becoming a sponsor, please contact Peg Odell, Cooperstown PTO co-president, 544-
1123. For more information about the raffle, contact Cari Lifgren, 547-2009. Questions
can also be emailed to CoopPTO.

Businesses, organizations and individuals who would like to support their community’s
schools can send contributions of any amount to Cooperstown PTO, c/o Cooperstown
Elementary School, 21 Walnut Street, Cooperstown, NY. The Cooperstown PTO is very
grateful for the community’s support.
