Cooperstown Farmers Market

February 1, 2011

The entrepreneurs of the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market are working to bring fresh veggies from their greenhouses to your table this winter. Area residents won’t have to buy salad greens from California this year – Heller’s Farm is growing fresh greens right here in Bainbridge – harvested the morning of the market! And mushrooms are coming in time for the Winter Carnival Market. Middlefield Orchards will have micro sprouts soon. Local vendors still have a good supply of potatoes, carrots and squash for delicious winter soup making. Up in the hills above Canadarago Lake, Mountain View Dairy continues to make cheese including Gruyere, creamy Camembert, Caerterphilly,Cheddar and Jack with interesting spices – all great for a Super Bowl snack! Don’t miss the full line of poultry and meats beef, veal, pork, lamb, goat, rabbit and a wide variety of sausages. We have lots of local eggs, too.

The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, 101 Main St, in Pioneer Alley behind Key Bank – Winter Markets are the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month with a special market for Winter Carnival.
