Lions Club & Winter Carnival

Cooperstown Lions Club, sponsors of the Annual Cooperstown Winter Carnival, will participate in the Tropical Paradise Parade along Main Street on Saturday, February 12 at 11 am according to Lion John Santello, Lions Coordinator of their entry. Lions will cruise the surf in a classic Chris Craft boat loaned for the event by Lion Jim Hogan.

Join the Lions & Leos at their Annual Pancake breakfast prior to or after the parade; they will be serving from 8 to 11:30 am and again on Sunday, February 13 at the Cooperstown Veteran’s Club, Main Street. Lion Brian Wrubleski, Chair of the event, states “pancakes and all the trimmings will be the fare of the morning.” “Patrons will have their choice of plain or with blueberries or chocolate chips and new this year, whole wheat.” These will be accompanied with sausage, apple sauce and beverage choice. Otsego County Maple Producers are supplying their pure maple syrup and will also have their products available for purchase. All proceeds support local community service projects conducted by Lions members and other organizations benefitting from Lions Club grants

The Lions Club meets the first and third Wednesdays, September through June, 6:30 pm at the Tunnicliff Inn.
