COOPERSTOWN LIONS TO HEAR FROM FRIENDS OF THE PARKS

An overview of the Friends of the Village Parks will be the featured presentation at the next regular meeting of the Cooperstown Lions Club. On Wednesday, March 2, John Odell, Chair of the Friends of the Parks, will present an overview of the Village Parks. The Friends work in a partnership with the Village Parks Board in the preservation, rehabilitation, improvement and enhancement of and planning for six of the Cooperstown Parks.

The Lions Club thanks all that supported its recent Pancake Breakfast during the Winter Carnival. All proceeds from such events are re-invested back to the community for various projects conducted by the Lions Club and recipients of mini-grants awarded to organizations for their community projects. The Cooperstown Lions Club meets the first and third Wednesdays, September through June at 6:30pm at the Tunnicliff Inn. The Club conducts many fund development endeavors to enhance life in the Cooperstown area for various groups, families and individuals. The mission of Lions Clubs International is To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.
