NYCON will be launching their Retirement Resource Educational Series with an event hosted by Scott Coopersmith & Lou Eliasof of MetLife on March 14th in New York City.

This free luncheon for NYCON members will include an educational address on "What Every Nonprofit Needs to Know About the World of Retirement Planning."

Michael K. Farrell is executive vice president for U.S. Distribution, MetLife’s sales organization that provides products and services to millions of individuals and more than 60,000 employers across the U.S, including over 90 of the top one hundred FORTUNE 500® companies. The division provides employee benefit and retirement solutions, insurance and other financial services through MetLife’s Employee Benefits Sales, Individual Distribution and third party distribution (through MetLife Investors) channels. He also oversees the sales support functions and a team focused on the operations, sales and investment product management for MetLife’s four broker-dealers (MetLife Securities, New England Securities, Tower Square Securities and Walnut Street Securities). Farrell has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining MetLife in May 2001, he was president of Michael K. Farrell Associates, Inc. Founded in 1990, the firm specialized in corporate qualified retirement plans and retirement plans for not-for-profit organizations. Farrell is active in community affairs and serves as a board member of the Boys and Girls Club Life Camp. He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University.

NYCON is pleased to launch an online Retirement Resource Center to provide solutions, plans and educational services geared to the small to mid-sized nonprofit dealing with the complicated and sometimes very expensive world of retirement options. NYCON Members can now access tools, resources, links to helpful websites and even members’ only events and webinars to help their organization find the right solutions for their employees’ retirement needs.

NYCON will also provide a series of workshops in its New York City office on topics like: Trends in 403b Plans for Nonprofits; Financial Wellness for Nonprofit Employees and more. Additional information can be found online HERE.
