March 9, 2011

Donations Needed!

The Cooperstown Art Association is accepting fine art donations for its upcoming fundraiser, Spring Cleaning Art Bazaar! Take a peek in your closets, check out your walls and let the CAA help you clean out the old and bring home something new-to-you! The event is designed to make artwork affordable for everyone and will take place over three days, Friday, April 8th from 6-8pm, and Saturday and Sunday, April 9th and

April 10th from 11-4pm. Remember, all donations are tax deductible and support a good cause! If you are tired of the same old artwork hanging on your walls or are looking to start an art collection, this is the perfect opportunity to accomplish your task while supporting the arts in the region. All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the CAA and its Prize Fund for artists. Please call the CAA at (607) 547-9777 by March 25th if you are interested in donating.

The Art Association will be kicking off the fundraiser Friday night, April 8th with a special Preview Sale and Reception from 6-8pm featuring wine tasting by Swedish Hill Winery of Cayuga Lake. A $15 donation at the door admits you to this special event which will feature a wine and cheese tasting and will cover admission to the sale on both Saturday and Sunday as well. On Saturday and Sunday, April 9th and April 10th, the sale is open to the public from 11-4pm with a $5 donation at the door each day. Come with your checkbook ready and browse the CAA’s Ballroom Gallery chock-full with a remarkable array of artwork collected by the CAA as well as work donated by local patrons.
