Spring Cleaning Art Bazaar at CAA

Join the Cooperstown Art Association Friday, April 8th from 6-8pm, and Saturday and Sunday, April 9th and April 10th from 11-4pm, for the CAA’s Spring Cleaning Art Bazaar. If you are tired of the same old artwork hanging on your walls or are looking to start an art collection, this is the perfect opportunity to accomplish your task while supporting the arts in the region. From our closets to your walls, this fundraiser is designed to make artwork affordable to everyone from homeowners and designers to antique dealers and business owners! There is something for everyone – ceramics by local artisans, paintings, etchings, pastels, antiques, frames & textiles all at significantly reduced prices! This sale includes work by Sunny Leinhart, Barbara Murray Sullivan and Deborah Geurtze to name a few.

Remember, the CAA is accepting fine art donations, so take a peek in your closets and maybe even at your walls and let the CAA help you clean out the old and bring home something new-to-you! Remember, all donations are tax deductible and support a good cause! Please call the CAA as soon as possible if you are interested in donating.

Come with your checkbook handy and browse the CAA’s Ballroom Gallery chock-full of an eclectic collection of artwork accumulated by the CAA as well as work donated by local patrons. The offering will include framed and unframed watercolors, oils, prints and much more at reasonable, ready to sell prices! All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the CAA and its Prize Fund for artists.

The Art Association will be kicking off the fundraiser Friday night, April 8th with a special Preview Sale and Reception from 6-8pm featuring wine tasting by Swedish Hill Wineries of Cayuga Lake. A $15 donation at the door admits you to this special event which will feature a wine and cheese tasting and will cover admission to the sale on both Saturday and Sunday as well. On Saturday and Sunday, April 8th and April 9th, the sale is open to the public from 11-4pm with a $5 donation at the door each day.

The CAA is located at 22 Main Street in Cooperstown in the Village Library building, diagonally across the street from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Hours: 11-4pm daily, 1-4pm Sundays, closed Tuesdays through Memorial Day. Please call (607) 547-9777 for more information.
