An Expanded Forum for Municipal Officials on the topic of Road and Land Use Regulation

Saturday, May 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at Templeton Hall, Cooperstown

$10 fee includes a box lunch – Pre-registration and pre-payment is required

This hands-on workshop is an in-depth follow-up to the April 9 forum of the same title and is geared specifically toward elected officials and/or those making land-use decisions in their communities. In preparation, attendees are encouraged to view the presentations from the April 9 forum online in advance if they did not attend that event – these will be made available on the Otsego County Conservation Association website,

Topics will include:

Helen and David Slottje on why and how local controls should be applied to regulate industrialization

Douglas Zamelis, Esq. on regulation of land use by local governments and the powers of home rule

Nan Stolzenburg on land use plans to protect towns from the hazards of industrialization

This event is organized by the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce, Otsego County Conservation Association and Otsego 2000.
