It’s a Gem of a

Jewelry Boutique

There’s something new in our Visitor Center — a Patty Tobin Jewelry Boutique. When the new Gem & Mining Building is completed, the boutique will be part of that facility.

Gems. Pearls. Crystal. And, the new Howe collection promises to be extraordinary. Read about Patty Tobin and plan to stop by the boutique.

Our OCC Chopper’s on the Move
Our custom-made Orange County Chopper has a new home this summer — at the Classic Car Museum in Norwich where it is part of their new exhibit, "Wild Things". The exhibit features vehicles named after animals, birds and reptiles. In our case, we’re a wild thing with bat wings!

Plan to Spend Father’s Day at Howe
Dear Friends,
We love holidays and special occasions. Who doesn’t?
And, this year, Father’s Day will be extra special at Howe Caverns as we welcome the return of the Cavalcade of Cars for the 11th year.
Organized by the local car club, Schoharie Valley Street Machines, this year promises to be bigger than ever with close to 200 vehicles of every type — from hot rods to vintage automobiles. The show takes place on the grounds from 12 Noon till 4 p.m.
Our Cafe staff will have a breakfast buffet and, later in the day, a barbecue (either may be purchased).
Car Show
The car show is free, but a donation of a canned food item is requested to help out the Schoharie County food pantries.
Of course, the perfect cool down is a trip underground into the cave where it’s always 52-degrees Fahrenheit.
And, if you want an escape that Dad will love, check out our overnight packages.
Our wish is for a wonderful Father’s Day for one and all.
Sincerely,
Robert Holt
General Manager
Progress Report:
Howe High Adventure
Work continues on Howe High Adventure, the new attractions on the Estate. We anticipate they will be open sometime in July. The rain in Upstate New York hasn’t been a friend and has caused construction delays.

On a bright note, we recently welcomed Ken Tompkins from New York’s Empire State Development that has given us a $100,000 grant.

The Albany Times Union had reporter Dayelin Roman with us that day. Do read her story. Sparky 2

Thank you Times Union Photograher Mike Farrell for capturing Operations Manager Mark "Sparky" Spaulding.
