PAWS FOR A PICNIC TO BENEFIT THE SUSQUEHANNA SPCA

Cooperstown, NY, July 19, 2011– On August 13 from 11am to 3pm join the staff, volunteers and some adoptable animals from the Susquehanna SPCA for a summer celebration at Neahwa Park in Oneonta. A wonderful schedule of activities for the whole family is planned to include free balloons for the kids, food and drink, live music, games with prizes, a bounce house, an inflatable joust, a friendly calf you can feed, face painting and lots of different themed baskets for raffle with the drawings at 3pm.

We are fortunate to have Steve Dillon and Patrick Lippincott of Oneonta Theatre Stage Players and The Beat as our emcees for the day and at 2:30pm get the chance you’ve been waiting for… throw pies in their faces. From 11am-12pm there will be an exciting demonstration that will be presented by the NY State Police K-9 unit. Between 11am-3pm there will be live music by “The Acoustic Stylings of Little Stevie” and a performance by Geoff Doyle. 12:00pm -12:30pm and again from 1:30pm-2:00pm get your picture taken with Snoopy, the SSPCA mascot.

Bring your entire family and well behaved pets are most welcome! For further details visit our website at http://www.susquehannaspca.org.

All proceeds will benefit the Susquehanna SPCA, a nonprofit organization that serves all of Otsego County. The SSPCA is dedicated to the alleviation of suffering and the humane treatment of animals throughout the County. The organization receives no state or federal funding and is dependent on the support of friends and neighbors to continue its important mission. Donations may be made through the website http://http://www.susquehannaspca.org, by mail or in person to the Susquehanna SPCA 4841 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
