Greetings!,

Please join us for a free concert: the Flute Fest at the Otesaga!

The concert is the culmination of two weeks of intensive study and rehearsals under the guidance of International Flute Institute Director Bonnie Bokyung Kim, Joo-Hee Lee, Yeo-Jin Song, Daniel Hai Sung Bac, Wissam Boustany and Cooperstown Summer Music Festival Artistic Director Linda Chesis. The 18 participants in the Flute Institute are from Korea and throughout the United States, and are aged 11-19. The concert also will feature a performance by the winner of the International Flute Institute Concerto Competition.

"The Flute Fest has become a Festival tradition," says Ms. Chesis. "It’s a great opportunity to experience the dedication and talent of these young flutists." The concert will be held in the ballroom of the Otesaga Resort Hotel, 60 Lake Street in Cooperstown. No reservation or ticket required.

Make Your Own Flute!

Prior to the concert, attendees have the option of making a "flute" out of a plastic bottle, and then joining in a community play-a-long during the concert. Bring a clean empty plastic bottle, and festival volunteers will help you make it into a "flute." For kids and kids at heart!

The concert is free and open to all. Children are very welcome to attend. The concert will last about 1 hour. No ticket or reservation necessary.
