The Smithy, Brewery Ommegang, Fenimore Art Museum, and Brad Westcott are looking forward to working together on future events in support of the local arts community. For upcoming event dates stay tuned to cooperstownfilmfestival.org, smithypioneer.org, or ommegang.com.

About Danielle Newell and The Smithy The Smithy’s mission is to make the arts accessible and expand artistic opportunities available to our community. Executive Director Danielle Newell has dedicated herself to this purpose and has already radically increased programming and classes offered at The Smithy. Earlier this year, Newell began a "Books We Love to Watch" film class, inspired by her love of film and her years as a cinema student at NYU. Newell holds a BFA in Cinema Studies from NYU and a Master’s in Theatre and Theatre Education from NYU. Before moving to Cooperstown, she worked as an actor, teacher, stage and theatre manager. Now, with the Cooperstown Film Festival, she hopes to draw filmmakers and cinephiles alike to our region.

About Brad Westcott Co-Founder/Executive Director/Director of Programming. An ardent scholar and fan of all things filmic, Brad holds an MA in Cinema Studies from New York University and has served as Manager of Publicity and Marketing for the independent film distributor Magnolia Pictures.
