The ultimate acoustic blues duo, Phil Wiggins and Corey Harris will provide lots of smoke for the January show. Their sound, coupling Wiggins’ unique harmonica with Harris’ virtuosity on Delta and Piedmont style guitar, pinpoint the joining of African and European music into that unique American music, the blues. As Phil says, "it’s about the groove."

She’s back! When Eilen Jewell and her band played Concert Series in November 2008, many in the audience told us that she was the best artist we’d ever had. Eilen’s mastery of different genres, from the countrified gospel of The Sacred Shakers to the Loretta Lynn tribute of Butcher Holler to her own originals immersed in traditional folk music, Chicago blues and 1960’s garage rock will have you on your feet – again!
